What is a sober living home?
A sober living home is a structured, drug-free residence where
individuals in recovery can live while they transition from treatment
back to independent living. Unlike treatment facilities, we don't
provide formal therapy, but we offer a supportive environment with
house rules, accountability, and peer support to help maintain
sobriety.
How long can I stay at Restoration Living?
There's no minimum or maximum stay. Many residents stay for 3-6 months
while they build a foundation for recovery, find employment, and save
money for independent living. Some choose to stay longer as they
continue to grow in their sobriety.
What are the house rules?
Our homes maintain strict rules including zero tolerance for drugs and
alcohol, mandatory house meetings, random drug testing, curfew
requirements, and shared chore responsibilities. All residents must be
committed to maintaining a clean, supportive environment for
themselves and their housemates.
What is the admission process?
The admission process includes an initial phone consultation,
completion of an application, verification of sobriety commitment, and
a tour of our homes. We'll discuss your needs, answer your questions,
and help determine if our program is the right fit for you.
Do you accept insurance?
Sober living is typically considered self-pay. However, some insurance
plans may provide partial coverage for substance use treatment,
including sober living. We recommend contacting your insurance
provider to discuss your benefits. We're happy to provide
documentation for any out-of-network reimbursement claims.
Can I work while living there?
Yes! We encourage residents to find employment. Our homes are designed
to support your independence. We'll help you with job search
resources, resume building, and interview preparation. Many residents
work part-time or full-time while living with us.
What if I relapse?
We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for drug or alcohol use in our
homes. If a resident tests positive, they will be asked to leave
immediately. However, we understand that recovery is a journey, and we
can discuss options for re-entry after a period of treatment if the
individual demonstrates commitment to sobriety.
Are there visitation hours?
Yes, we have designated visitation hours. Family and friends are
welcome to visit during specified times. All visitors must follow
house rules and are not permitted to bring any prohibited substances
onto the property.
